Founded in 2018, LWC Foundation is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving new and expecting parents facing financial hardship in the Richmond and Chesterfield, Virginia area. Through our year-round Life Lift Bundles program, families receive free baby essentials, including diapers, wipes, formula, and clothing.
Our Mother-to-Be Celebration brings expecting parents together for supplies, resources, and connection. Since 2018, we have hosted five celebrations, supported more than two dozen parents, and provided dozens of Life Lift Bundles, including doorstep deliveries during COVID.
In 2025, LWC Foundation formally tracked and served 22 families. Our work meets immediate material needs while building a lasting community around parents who too often face these challenges alone.

Meet our Founder
Chelsi was born to two teenage parents in the late 1980s. When her mother faced an uncertain road ahead, she chose Chelsi. That decision helped shape Chelsi's commitment to supporting parents who need practical help, encouragement, and community. In 2025, Chelsi gave birth to her first child, deepening her understanding of what it means to need support during pregnancy and early parenthood.
