Refer a Parent
The LWC Foundation accepts referrals for new and expecting parents facing hardship and in need of baby essentials. Please ensure the parent is aware of their referral before submitting.
Who we serve
New and expecting parents facing financial hardship in Chesterfield, Colonial Heights, Hanover, Henrico, Hopewell, Petersburg, and Richmond City.
Eligibility by program
Life Lift Bundles
At least 6 months pregnant, or has a baby 12 months or younger
Demonstrates a significant need for baby essentials
Has not received LWC Foundation assistance in the last 18 months
Mother-to-Be Celebration
At least 6 months pregnant, or has a baby 3 months or younger
Demonstrates a significant need for baby essentials
Has not received LWC Foundation assistance in the last 18 months
Therapy for Moms Fund
At least 6 months pregnant, or has a baby 3 months or younger
Unable to cover co-pays for therapy or mental health counseling
Has not received LWC Foundation assistance in the last 18 months
Referral process
Submit the referral form
The LWC Foundation team reviews the submission and may contact the referring person within 7–10 business days
If the referred parent is being considered, the LWC Foundation will reach out directly to learn more about their situation
If selected, LWC Foundation will arrange pickup or delivery of baby items
Every family served is formally tracked for program and impact reporting
